I was just looking at one of these yesterday at a local machine shop. The local Menonites in my area up here in Ontario are running them and all the other cummins for Generators. I was looking at it pretty close and he said the electorinics are real simple and the cost is great! Wasn't sure of the exact price but was around $5000cdn and that is with everything needed to make it run and keep it going!



What really cought my eye though on this baby cummins was the turbo... it was sooooooo small it wasn't even funny... actually looked cute! It easily could fit in your hands!

I wonder if an old CJ2A with one of those could get registered in CA?

I actually went back just today to the guys place that has these and took a better look at them! Turns out they are made in Japan by cummins there in a joint venture with Kamatzo or how ever you spell it. Also, all over the engine (on this one anyway) it says "for stationary use only!"

Your right. I've only lived here 1 year but I keep hearing horror stories. I just can't find a small diesel that will hook to a GM 4-speed.
