Cummins Ramcharger is Running

Finally got everything in today, totally rebuilt

motor, rebuilt o/d transmission, new shortened rear driveshaft.

Most of the dash back in, so I had to see if the motor would run.

Minor setback when I installed the battery and tried to crank the motor over to get oil pressure and fuel up. Starter was just clicking.

Removed and replaced with another spare starter.

Cranked the motor over and had oil pressure within

about 30 seconds, got fuel up to the injectors,

couple starts later had a rough running R/C, quick bleed of all injectors and really nice sound

of a purring (LOUD) 6BT.

Had it on jackstands,with wheels above the ground

and trans and transfer case run great, speedo is tracking great 65 miles per hour.

Oil pressure great, water temp rose a little and battery charging.





Checked for oil leaks, minor trans leak, tightened some fittings, looks like a power steering pump may have to be changed out, leaking at the seam to the fill top.



Real happy to see it run.

Will need to install gages and finish the dash.

well your doing better than use we just got all the heaveydoutty suspension under the ram charger still debatting on using the alision or the 727 for now got a month to get the rest of it down before the big event in lima George
