Guys Lets stop beating a dead horse on the WASTE MOTOR OIL ISSUE. .

Get a copy of Cummins service Bulletin 3379001-05

Topic: Fuels for Cummins Engines...

It contains everything you always wanted to know. Oo.

http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/Facts/91specs.html

#1-D Diesel or #2 Fuel Oil (diesel) only.

Under emergency conditions, 1K & 2K Kerosene, Jet-A, Jet A-1, JP-5, and JP-8 may by used if 5% lube oil is added to the fuel. DO NOT run the VP44 Injection pump on these alternate fuels without the lube oil - pump damage is likely without a lube additive!

Maximum Exhaust Temperature and Turbocharger Boost Ratings

Maximim Allowable Exhaust Restriction: 6" Hg

Maximum Intake Restriction 25" H2O

Ram Exhaust Temperature Specification

Pyro Probe Location Max Temp At Rated Power Max Temp At Torque peak

exhaust manifold 1250 Degrees F 1250 Degrees F

exhaust elbow below the turbocharger 950 Degrees F 810 Degrees F

And where does that mention mixing in waste oil? Black Diesel is kinda old news, issue is possible contamination with fine particles frome everything I have been able to find out. I usually just dump what comes out of my CTD right in the tank, no problems so far... .

Sorry there is no link that i know of, you must call Cummins tech support and they will mail you a copy.

And please dont post outdated information that is potentially inaccurate (johncammeron) .

take care all
