All good service manuals are $ and cover EVERY system in detail.

You can buy a Haynes for about $15-$20. They(Haynes) are not as good but do have lots of good pictures that are helpful.

Is there a different manual for the 12v and 24v?

The manual is a 2001 "br" manual. If covers 1500 - 3500 series trucks, gas and diesel, 2wd and 4wd. It covers just about any part of the truck you can think of. It is basically like the 400 plus page manuals that the techs use, put onto cd.
