1983 Chevy Suburban Silverado 4x4,
Originally a GM 6.2L diesel with manual,
Swapped to a Cummins 5.9 turbo-diesel,
Previous owner had motor rebuilt by Cummins,
New rods and main bearings just because,
New injection pump and bigger injectors,
Much more rebuilt and replaced as needed.
Only needs 1-wire to the starter,
Then it keeps running mechanically,
Has a manual fuel shutoff valve with cable in cab,
Starts up in half-second with 1 good battery,
Has two Interstate deep-cycle batteries,
Resistant to EMP and can be roll started,
Very simple motor, very reliable, easy to maintain.
Rebuilt Dodge NV4500 HD transmission,
Newer HD clutch and flexplate,
New clutch hydraulics and lines,
NP205 transfer case, the only gear-drive one, bulletproof,
Newer Superlift 8-inch springs and driveshafts,
ORD spring hangers and greasable bolts,
Dana 60 King Pin axles front and rear with 4.10 gears,
Nice 18-inch MotoMetal wheels and hubs,
Cooper SST 37-inch M+S tires at 95% tread,
New front and rear brakes: rotors, drums, shoes,
Rear Airbags with external fill nipples,
HD Tow package welded into frame,
This truck is setup up to tow very well.

- Can use a bottom cover for the driver's seat,
- Needs driver's window motor replaced,
