This was to good to keep to my self. I was fueling up and a PS at the other pump asked me how many drive shafts had I twisted off. I was a little worried about maybe something I havent heard about and asked what he meant and was told that he bought a Powerchoke because he was told the Cummins motor made so much power that it would rip out gears on a 5sp and twist off drive shafts on autos, so me not wanting to hurt his feelings any more than they already were,(Powerchoke, remember) I told him took it real easy and didnt have any problems. Awsome motor these Cummins.

Some folks just don't "deserve" the mighty Cummins. Second rate cornbinder stuff is for them.

drof marketing weasels invoke tempting words like power and stroke;
chebby weasels talk about dura and max;
both try to use their strategies to convince us their products are powerful and durable.

Dodge just says "Cummins. " What else could anyone need to say?

Interesting trio of us who have responded to your post Dezul 1. Sort of a diesel full house or a Cummins flush you might say #ad

All three of us have had our clutch sequences but beyond that #ad

Here's another good one, I was at 4wheel parts in Jax, Fl a while back and a guy with a PSD asked me how I liked my cummins, I said I loved it. He then told me how he was going to trade his PSD in on one because it had been through 4 (yes FOUR) turbos. I asked if had ever checked the bolts, he gave me a blank look and said no. I wrote down the TDR and Ford-diesel web addresses and gave to him. he said thanks, he'd check into it and was looking forward to trading up to a cummins #ad

only thing better might have been to give up a 15 or 20 ft. patch of good ol rubber as you left the station... "takeing it easy" as you left. . hehe

I had a powerjoke guy while fueling up the other day see my gauges and tell that he had heard that if a dodge had gauges not to mess with it because it had been hopped up.
Now that's why they stopped messing since I put the A pillar set up it seemed as if they didn't want to play any more. I should have stayed with Geno's Combo gauge in the dash.

When I got my truck I had a friend tell me that he just got rid of his automatic because the engine was so powerful that he had brake problems. He said that no matter how much he played with the brakes, he still had to put the trans in neutral to keep from rolling at a stop light or rear ending someone. That obviously explains the reason we have brake problems #ad

I had a young man(late teensor early 20's) with a 94 3/4 cc 4x4 PSD filling his tanks while I was feeding my FL60(45 gal tank). He was amazed I had to fill up once a week, he filled his psd every 4 weeks and it held 5 gal less than my truck. I pointed to my Mule said I can do that with the Dodge it has 35 gal tank(if I averaged 150 miles a week) Then he layed it on thick said he got 1400 miles per fill up. I didn't catch that one right away I was calculating 2-35 tanks not 1-18,1-22 tanks.
Same conversation he stated that his engine was called a Power Stroke because it had 3 fuel pumps( 1 each tank, 1 big one on top of the engine). I told him, I have a small one on the engine. Also mentioned to him that they probably called it PS because they added a Turbo.

I agree, the word is out, if the PS boys see the 4" chrome extension or the gauges on the dash they won't play.

Had a PS try to run me down last week so I gave it a little juice, when he realized I was running strong he wouldn't play. When he went by at a stoplight to make a left turn I noticed he had a Calvin taking a dump on a Ram on his back window.

Should be a law against that. If'n yer gonna taunt be prepared to back it up Phord boys!

Mark, I am ready for you!! #ad

J. K. , you guys have a great website here! I frequent it as much as the FD site. Any truck with a diesel in it is fine with me, cause real trucks don't have sparkplugs!
