Hey folks,

Anyone who does oil/fuel filter changes themselves should check out GENO'S GARAGE.
Great prices on their oil and filters.

I am reading my current "Cummins Power Booster Quarterly" and it states the Baldwin PF7854 does not meet the specifications on 2000 and 2001 applications! Says it can short out the Water In Fuel sensor! The Baldwin is 2. 5mm longer and 1mm larger in diameter. Also the metal endplates are causing a problem.

Just thought I would point it out.

This information is in the Fall Edition of the Cummins Power Boosters Club Quarterly. font size=-2>

Back when the Round up and Rally was held in Indiania in August of 1999, it was mentioned that a retrofit could be made for the 98. 5 fuel filter arrangement to be made just like the 00 arrangement. By this I mean a true unscrew the lid(cover), remove old fiter, install new filter, replace lid(cover).
Has anyone heard of this? Has anyone tried making the changes themselves?

I went to 'Pro-Fleet' in Elk Grove(Sacramento)and they changed my fuel filter for $11. 50 or so,labor included.

A buddy of mine, who shall remain nameless and fairly new TDR member was just charged $100. 00 to have his fuel filter changed... ... can you say RIP-OFF?

I was so furious that they nailed him for that much money, I feel they deserved to be named on this thread - Enumclaw Dodge, in Enumclaw, WA.

Needless to say, my buddy WILL learn how to change his own fuel filter.
