Hello all,

As many people know, there is currently a group buy on the Edge A2 (in the classifieds). Before the A2 was released, there was a good amount of hype and people were really looking forward to it.

I have been looking around and not many people have them, and the group buy response has been relatively low.

Give me a hand with the poll so we can see what's going on.

Thanks

Unsure

WUnderwood,

With all the chatter and questions about it before it hit the market, I thought it would have been a huge hit.

I'm curious to see what this poll shows.

I thought I just had to have it, until I saw it. Where do you put it to make it look good. All the trucks I have seen with it installed they look way out of place. It is easy to spot for a thief, he might think it is a GameBoy or something, My two cents.

I agree with you 100%! Wasnt the A2 voted one of the best aftermarket products for 04 at SEMA or something like that?!?!

A2 unit is too big and kind of ugly...

I like the original monitor because it's small and discreet. It can be mounted out of the way, like a TST remote. Where do you put the A2 and not have it be an eye sore?

I'd consider switching to a Hot Juice with the A2 (stacked with a downloader) to get the GPS and gauge functions, but after looking at my truck I can't find a place where I'd want to mount it. I'm looking at buying a GPS anyway, and I already have a Juice module. The extra expense isn't going to be all that much, as the Tom-Tom is $700 or so by itself.

I would love to have all the functions provided by the A2. I got to thinking that it's too bad they don't make some sort of interface with one of the new in-dash touch screen dvd head units. All the Tom-Tom nav features, plus gauges, displayed on your head unit. I think that would sell, expensive or not. I know I would buy one in a heartbeat.

It doesnt appeal to me because of

1) The price

2) The size

Face it the thing is huge, it isnt worth the extra $$$ over the attitude. Some of the info it provides is worthless IMHO. Thoes HP caculators and 1/4 mile times are a joke. There very inaccurate. Backup camera is cheesy, and it hooks up to your 7pin connector???? and can be easily stolen???

It just too much everything for me...

Same here.

Just plain sad

Makes you wonder what has went wrong when we look at a product and need to take into account how easy it can be stolen before we can purchase it.

The extra cost was my reason for not getting one. I was going to get one until I found out that it was over $1000 JUST for the display. They need to get their cost in line before people are going to bite on this one. If I could trade in the juice w/attitude display and toss in another $100 or so maybe...
