I am having a problem with current drain. I have isolated the problem to the Seat Belt Control Module under the front seat. I have a . 45 amp current with the ignition switch off. When I disconnect the SBCM, it goes away. Problem is, when I disconnect the cable to the left and right seat belt solenoids, I lose half of the current with each. I find it hard to believe both solenoids have gone bad simultaneously. So, anybody experienced anything like this? Any thoughts appreciated.

Jerry,
This module is designed to keep the solenoids energized for twenty minutes after the key is shut off and the door is closed. When the solenoids are de-energized the seat belts lock. The problem with these timers is that they have a tendancy to forget to time out. They have been superceded several times. I believe they(DC) were up to the AF version when I left the dealer three weeks ago. If the drain is still there after twenty minutes replace the module and pray.
Hope this helps.
