What's the going price these days for the Mopar ebrake kit?

Considering it is a Mopar part # (& a Jacobs part #) if you have the dealer install it, it should be under the 3/36 part of your warranty. I know that when I bought mine, I had them order and install it prior to delivery just for this purpose. If you install it, or have someone else install it, and you have problems... up pops the warranty argument, and prove this, prove that...

I not 100% sure of this, but here goes:



If you buy a Mopar accessory and have it installed by your dealer AFTER taking delivery of your vehicle (not as part of the agreed upon purchase) it isn't covered under the 3/36 warranty, it's covered under a separate warranty of up to 1 yr/12000 miles. If you ordered it at the time of sale but is wasn't available (the dealer had to order it) it will be covered under the 3/36 warranty.



Accessories (even genuine mopar) not installed by an authorized dealer are not covered by Dodge at all.



Somebody can verify the first part by calling their parts department.

By the way (sorry, I forgot to add this to my previous reply) I was quoted 6 hours of shop time to install the brake. Shop labor around here varies from $75-90 per hour.

The EOM exhaust brake does have a warranty, even if not installed by the dealer. They obviously do not warranty the installation, because they did not do the install. I think the warranty may be longer if installed by the dealer at time of installation.

I installed mine, and it was a "Piece of Cake" . I now have over 31,000 on truck, and about 28,000 on E-Brake. Never a problem yet!
