Hi Guys-

Time to put a gooseneck in the new truck and wondering what the opinion was on the Curt Quick Goose. I looked at the B&W and like it, except that I have to get in the bed to turn it over.

So what's the skinny on the Quick Goose? Good, Bad, anybody done an installation on a 3rd Gen?

Thanks-

Jeremy

Jeremy,

My brother got a Pop Up Ball which is simular to the CQG, here is the short coming. You have to get into the bed to put a cap on it when the ball is down otherwise dirt gets in and the hitch binds. It's a good idea, but probably just as big a PITA as the turnover types.

Quick goose instructions

Thanks Fireman-

Good to remember those "oh yeah's" which is why I love this site.

On another note, I found a copy of the installation instructions and it requires mucho drilling in the frame, including a 1 1/2" hole so you can access the mounting nuts. As I understand, this is a big no-no for our hyrdroformed frames.

Think I'm going back to the turnover???
