Would something like this be an idea? Something for guys to give/take ideas for Driveshaft loops, pulling hitches, Traction bars, 12v Air pump brackets... . etc.





Just an idea. I know when I plan on building those items, I'd be more than happy to take pictures and tell guys how I did it. This would make it easier to find.

I agree that this would be grate idea to have a custom building forum. I know there are things I have done to several trucks Iv owned be it pick up trucks or big rigs, that I have spent several hours just thinking of how to mount something, build something, etc, etc, etc. Like Duluth Diesel said it could apply to everyones truck, one way or another.

I'm watching for the level of interest in this. The products/accessories forums right now are the place for this kind of stuff. Based on past experience we try to keep the forum list as short as possible. Unless there is a need for a seperate forum (because of the volume of posts) we don't add one. Thus far there just isn't that much activity in this area to warrant a seperate forum for it that I've seen - although I am watching for it.

I also think this would be a great idea!!! There are tons of things like pulling hitches and traction bars that alot of people want to make but have no real idea what do make them out of or how to do them there selves. I am in the middle right now of doing a cummins/chevy conversion and have looked for ever on trying to find out how to do the motor mounts. A place like you are talking about would be a great area to post these "how to build" topics. I imagine there are tons of fabricators on here that have problably mad tons of things that they would like to share the how too's to!!!
