I finally got around to snapping a couple photos of the center console I built. :D It turned out OK, there are a few things I would do different had I to do it again. The design is not 100% original, there was a similar design that someone had posted a while back.

The difference is I completely removed the center seat. The console has a great deal more storage than the standard, it holds my guages and switches, and... . holds the airjax compressor for my onboard air kit. I haven't quite gotten around to finishing the storage areas just yet. When I do, I'll get more pics up.

Kev:cool:

Oh- and before you all ask, the guages (from top left to bottom right) are : Oile temp, Trans temp, rear end temp, Air pressure (tank), Air pressure (suspension). All of the switches control various auxillary lighting in the cab, bed, fog lights, etc. The entire console can be removed in two piece, three multipin molex connectors and three large spade connectors. All of the relays are under the guages, yeah it meant running more wire to the devices:rolleyes: , but everything is safe from the elements and not to hard to get at.

Drool, drool, drool...

so when ya gonna mass produce and send me my "free trial console" for being so much in love with your work?

Seriously, very nice. Wish I had that talent.

Well in this case, it must be nice to have a 2wd auto. :p Nice job, looks sweet.

Yeah Rob... ..... kinda doesn't leave much room for anything else eh??

Until I can rummage up enough money for a 6 speed, DTT and my console is the only way to go!

Kev:D

Ken it was many late nights to get done, I actually finished it just before we took delivery of the Sunnybrook. The wiring was a BIT**- there are 3 #8's in there plus a bunch of #16, #14... ... I labeled every wire and there is a legend inside the cover.

Hey Rob, how 'bout coming down on the price a little for a broke young man? ;) :-laf

Sorry,

I would love to, but I would need several orders to do so. The time involved is extensive, if I could "mass" produce them, the time to build would drop, as would the price.

Hope ya know I was only joking Rob. I completely understand. I wish I had looked at yours at Tom's grand opening. That way I could :{ a little more. Maybe in a few months I can save up for one! You aren't planning on cutting production anytime soon are you?

Now if I could only figure out how to make that slick looking console work in my 5spd 4x4 I'd be real happy... ... . Andy

Andy- just one more benefit of the Auto 2x4;) :-laf !

Actually- I'm saving my money for an 04/05 4500 with a 6speed? Who knows what, transmission- hopefully I'll have enough saved by then!
