After looking my 2001 over I have decided to do something to the hood. I would like to put the '70 challenger RT hood scoop assembly on it but can't find anyone who makes one. I would rather use Steel but as a last resort would consider fiberglas.

I thought about cutting the section from a '70 RT hood and inserting it in my hood but that would take a lot of thinking.

Any of you Body shop types out there have any ideas ????????????????

Check out the Air Bulldog induction hood! This is the ONLY true forced air induction system (including hood) for the Cummins powered Ram. I have had mine since the beginning of July... and love it! #ad
See a pic of my hood (click "Dodge Cummins", look at the left two pix, third row up from the bottom of the photo album) http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=188417&9=1379482

The Air Bulldog induction hoods can be seen in issue 29 of the TDR, pages 123, 124 in the TDRelease column. Awesome hoods! #ad

I'm not a fan of fiberglass hoods, I have a steel cowl induction hood from Reflexion, but I would advise against cutting you own hood. There is alot of reinforcement on the underside that might be lost when cut. If you do go that route, make sure you find a way to reinforce the hood, or it will look like one from a mid 70's Chevy pickup.

I had a 95 Chebby like that, Jeff. I have to admit, though, that was about the only thing I found a problem with - no brakes or steering or . . . BUT no Cummins!

Here is an image of the hood John was talking about (his own hood!)... maybe a bit easier than following the links... .
