"Customised" receiver hitch...

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Looking for a good 27-30 ft. Travel Trailer

Horse trailer interior lights question.

When the trailer is not hooked up, I was wondering what other TDR members did to "customise" their receiver hitch area.

I've seen a small propellor mounted in the receiver hitch rotating freely in the wind and more recently a large rubber work glove slipped over the ball and tie-wrapped in place, with just the middle finger extended for good measure :D :D

Does anyone have any good pictures to post here?

Down Time Hitch

I built a kind of nerf/push stinger that should do serious damage to any vehicle rear ending me while letting the truck escape a lot of damage. It also protects my wife's car when I park in front of her.

There's about 10-15 of us GLTDR members running around with this on the back (I have it on the front too):

The guy that made these for us also has a TDR hitch cover.

Thanks

Don't have a picture... But mine says remove to pull Ford!

Jason Burton of Northwest Custom made it. Ford owners cry about it not being funny. My wife loved it when we could take it out to Pull her brother in laws Ford and boat out of the water together.

When not towing I put in my lighted Ram's Head.

Thats so the little cars can see my brake lights... . it get's the light down to their level. There's a 3rd stop light on the top of my ARE cap. I guess thats good for the 18 wheelers.

I modified the Ram's Head light to be 1/2 of full brightness when the parking lights are on and full brightness when the brake lights are on.

Also got ride of the POS stock hitch.

Although I don't have a pic of it, I custimized my version of the "great" DC hitch recall . I purchased a Reese Titan V (class 5) hitch and finished it off by deburring the entire hitch before having it powder coated gloss black to match my black Sport Ram. :D I also had the 5" drop ball mount powder coated gloss black, leaving it installed to satisfy my bumper tagging abatement program. Besides, it gives me a much needed attitude adjustment from time to time when I'm working underneath the back end of my Ram :eek::rolleyes: Doh!

Andy... .

Good idea...

It's do-able...

Steady, Blinking, or Chasing lights on the bolts of the cover...

Lets see what I can cook up.

Bob

Ok, throw some leds in the bolts... with a chaser ckt...

Sorry the lights are a bit dim, but that's what it would look like...

:D

I DONT HAVE A PICTURE, BUT SAW A PAIR OF "NUTS" HANGING FROM THE RECIEVER WITH A BUMPER-STICKER THAT READ SOMETHING LIKE: "MY TRUCK HAS NUTS".

Andy, you should see the new hitch cover Jason made for Piers... it has the new PDR logo on it, with the turbo and flames cutout in the periphery. Sweet! MikeR has one on his Ram.
