Crank, No start 2007 5.9 (fuel related)

Cheap, Easy lift pump pressure gauge

I installed a new #6 injector to replace the one I previously posted about (https://www.turbodieselregister.com...ent-return-flow-light-now-fuel-in-oil.269876/), started up my truck and it was running better than it has in a long time. I drove about 30 miles and when I got home, there was a noticeable knock that wasn't there when I first started it. I hooked up my Android tablet, ran AlphaOBD and began shutting down 1 cylinder at a time. When I shut down #6, the injector I had just replaced, the knock went away. The worst part is, I think I have fuel in my oil again!!!

Is it a bad injector or something worse?

Probably should start by swapping out for another cylinder. If that does not move the knock to the new cylinder it more than likely scored the cylinder.

Did you install a NEW injector or just a new one to your truck? Let it cool off and start again to see if the knock is heat related. At least you will know it did not start out that way and if it wasn't knocking on the old injector chances are pretty good the injector is the issue.
