looking for the best price on d 25 springs or 2 inch metal spacers for front end. Where is every one buying them ?

thanks

Mine are great. The ride dramatically improved over stock. I replaced the track bar with adjustable track bar by solid steel and have the brace. I put bilstein 5100's on as well with longer control arms to center my axle so the truck drives straight and rides nice.

I'm also running them with new 5100 shocks. Also put in DT control arms and track bar. I upgraded to BFG 315 AT tires at the same time. My ride quality is much harsher. Don't know how much is from the heavier tires or the springs?

I called Tyler at jackit.com and he had me take some measurements and sent me some fixed control arms. These guys install alot of suspension kits so he is well versed in what works and doesnt. Great customer service

I would highly recommend a set of custom built coils from Coil Spring Specialists. They cost about $50-75 more then the D25's, but are totally custom to your specs. Ride height, weight (aftermarket bumber or winch), rate etc. They look way better then D25's too.

I did alot of research on my leveling kit and found about 50% were happy with the D25's and the rest were not. Some had sag issues and the CSS springs are guaranteed not to sag.

Note - that should say Coil Spring Specialties above.

I knew someone was going to mention coilsprings.com and I'm glad you did. I requested a quote from them twice and had to nag to get it the 2nd time. Anytime I had a question I had to send it 4 times in order to get a reply over email. AND they quoted me $400

No thanks, they just LOST a customer.

Wow, that is the opposite of my experience! I made one call, they told me what I needed to do for measuring the lift I wanted. I took the measurements, called them back and about two weeks later, the springs were at my door.

And they were half of what you say you were quoted (that was a year and a half ago).

I also have D25s controlled by Bilstein 5100s. They're supposedly progressive, but they ride about like the stock coils, maybe a little better. They have held up well over the past 4 years and I think I bought them at Jackit due to price. Now then, if you just need a long lasting spring to level up your rig, they will do fine. I don't think they are the best riding coil spring available because of how big the gaps are in the coil... you can put your fist through most of the gaps. Better riding springs would have much smaller gaps and would use way more material in the winding of the coil. Take a look at KORE's coils to see what I mean. A buddy of mine just put Old Man Emu coils on his Tacoma and you could barely get two fingers in the gaps on those and man do they ride nice. D25s are worth the money, but you have to consider coil springs shouldn't be cheap.

I agree Clinton, the gap on the D25's is huge compared to my CSS springs. The appearance and performance was a major factor in my spring choice. Before I installed them I had them powdercoated black. Looks way better then red!

I was told that CSS did the original specs/engineering for Kore, who then subbed them out to a different manufacturer.

Will d25's give me - - - -

If I install d25's in my 01 2500 4X4 with a winch and HD bumper will it give me a fairly decent ride as well as lifting the front back up? I've already got Bilstines all round with air bags on the rear, and the ride is decent. My gross weight is about 8600# with tools etc.

i would say it will lift the front back up to where it was before the hd front bumper. my d25's gave me about 2. 5 inches and have not sagged at all. so with the added weight i think you will get at least 1. 5 inches from them.

my ride definitely improved over stock.

Well - - - Tried to order from Off Road Warehouse - - - first said card rejected then duplicate order, re-enter card info. I give up! Don't know what their problem is - - bank sez no request came to bank for verification - - - maybe they decided they didn't want to sell the d25s for that price. Don't you just love it when companies screw around with you.

Denny

C. D. I would say yes, they'll do what you want. I can't complain at all about my D25s. I have a DOR bumper without a winch and my D25s are holding up the front ride height exactly where they were the day I installed them four years ago. You realize you're gonna need shocks with a longer stroke on the front, right? An adjustable track bar won't hurt things either.
