2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission D-70?

I changed my rear diff oil today and when I got the cover off the ring gear looked big and between the ring gear and carrier there was a sprocket looking thing there,I,ve not done a diesel d-70 before but the other 70's I,ve seen didn't have that sprocket and didn't seem that big. maybe dana 80?

Since you have an auto, it should be a Dana 70.

The sprocket thing is called a tone ring.

There is a magnetic sensor in the top of the housing.

This picks up a signal from the tone ring.

On a 94 it's function would be to work the rear anti-lock brakes.
