I've searched the forums and cannot find a definitive, detailed answer to D. I. Y. transmission flushing. Has anyone done this properly (with a pump to supply clean fluid vs. just pumping the old fluid out and running the transmission dry!). I had read a post where someone claimed that after connecting a line to the rear (from cooler) return line fitting on the trans and then putting this line in a container with the new fluid, that the transmission would pump in (suck) the new fluid to replace the old as it is being pumped out. Does the 47RE pump draw (suck) from this rear return line?
