Hmm... 600/950 with just an "Edge Programmer" and gibson exhaust??? Sounds like a little BS in there with the goodies... Maybe it's just me, but that sure sounds like alot.

Tobad it isn't a real hummer H-1 but sad to say they stopped making the real one's I guess General motor's wanted to make the fake one's more then the real thing . :{

IIRC, AMGeneral is still making the HMMWV, just for the military. Civilian sales have stopped for the H1.

Yeah but what they are calling a hummer is basicly achevy truck frame with a body to make it look even worse only real hummer in my book is the H1 Oo.

AM General stopped making the HUMMER H-1 because of the war. the demand for the military units is too high vs the demand for civilian units. AM General still makes the H-2 at the Indiana plant and it is not a GM unit until it is completely built and rolls off the assembly plant. It is also not on a cheby truck frame with a HUMMER body. the frame is purpose built although most of the drivetrain is basic chevy parts ie half shafts, front diff ect... You would be amazed on how much of it is HUMMER only and what the H-2 can do. I work for a HUMMER dealer and spent a ton of time with the H-1 in the military and thought the H-2 was a POS until I spent a week in Indiana at the plant and took the H-1 & H-2 driving school. The H-2 really did surprise me on what it can do but I am still a H-1 at heart kind of guy.

The Military H1 too is a POS

Been working with the H1 since 85. POS.

Was new. Still is. But is was better than the POS M151A2 jeep or the Gamma-Goat. :-laf

Military is looking hard and fast for a new vehicle.

Our beauracracy is working a 150% speed. We may have one in a few years... #@$%!
