I had to make a run to the landfill today with a whole truckload of cabinets and stuff out of my travel trailer. According to the scale at the dump, my truck weighs less than 5500 empty.

This seems REALLY light to me. If any of you have weighed your 2wd club cab, I'd sure like a weight comparison.

Thanks!!

Hey Power Wagon!

That does sound a little light. My truck is almost the same as yours except that mine is not a club cab.

I weighed mine on a certified scale about a year and a half ago and while I don't remember the exact weight I do remember that it was right at 5450 pounds. Something like 5453 comes to mind.

It seems that your club cab should be around 200 to 300 pounds heavier.

Hope this helps!

Mark, My 93 CC, completely empty was about 5600#. That was when I registered it here in CA. Last fall I weighed it at the Sacramento drag strip and it was 6250. That was with a tool box across the bed and full and I had my stuff in the cab for a week long trip. Both of the above weights are without me in it.

Mine weighed in at 6750 with about 1000 lbs in the bed including my canopy and me in the cab. Yours sounds 200 - 300 lbs low to me. If they charge by the pound they might have had their thumb "off" the scale when you cme out.

Since I paid the lowest scale for my stuff, I know they didn't fake it... besides, you drive in, drop your stuff, and drive out. the computer prints you out a ticket when you go in and when you come out. The truck weighed (censored) loaded and (censored) empty since I weigh (censored) the difference works out to just 5460. I had a quarter tank of fuel.

It looks like the W series (4x4) are quite a bit heavier.

Weighed my truck today at government scale:

Truck is a 92 4x4, 5spd.

with canopy, full fuel tank, full lenght al. running boards, bed liner, trailer hitch, spare tire

without driver

6269 lbs.
