I pull my truck inside the shop today to check my tires later. I go down there around 12:30 checking tires. They all have the psi I run in them except the right rear:--) And what do I find in it a *&$# screw. 3000+ miles and a *&^% metal screw:mad:  During the week I park in another parking lot and just walk to the bldg. But on weekends we park inside. Might have to do some maint. to the trucks etc;) but not today. I have to change a *** **** tire. Monday morning I am gonna show our so called manager,or what ever he is,the bill for repairing the tire. And if he don't reimburse me-well there are other ways to get it back. :D Today has not been to good a day what with Whitmore changing his origin to include a part of Texas:{ and who knows what is next.

Sorry to hear about the tire puncture, my inside on the right loses a little air over time but has not gone that low yet. I have been very fortunate with the truck tires, (lots of trailer tire failures though) have 93,000 and on second set so far. Have had several flats on the car though, three in the driveway at different times. Talk about needing to do something productive, I checked the diff. fluid on my Ramcharger a couple days ago and tore the rubber plug half in two. Nobody stocks the thing and I hate to jerry rig it, I pulled the cover this morning and am going to braze a short piece of 1" pipe coupling over the hole and use a pipe plug for the hole. I got in some deep water last week and was checking to see if I had water in the rear, shoulld have left it alone. bg

Larry please save that screw for me, I discovered shortly after leaving your place last week that a screw fell out of my head and I bet that is the one, someone told me that it was loose and I guess it finally fell out :D

Cheers, Kevin

That's bad enough, but when my mom was in Des Moines, some jack*** put a screw in the SIDEWALL of a tire on her car. Had to replace the tire.

I just replaced a rear tire (15K miles) that got a pinhole leak in the sidewall. I have no idea how that happened. I don't remember running over anything and there wasn't anything stuck in the tire. It would lose about one psi a day. I went over the tire a few times with a soapy rag before I finally found it.
