How does daily driving on a duel disc clutch hold up? I can get a good deal on a new Mitchell DD from a friend, what can I expect over the long haul. I'm not at the HP level for one (yet), but this would allow me to do so if I wanted:D

You'll love that clutch! It's one of the best mods I have done to date. Towing, backing while towing, daily driving, 3rd gear holeshots, I couldn't ask for a better clutch. The pedal is a little harder to push than your used to, but in a few days of driving, it will no longer be an issue, and it holds the power.

I love mine, Tow very heavy trailers with it and this time of year it even gets to push about 10 hours of snow every night it snows. I got about 22k mi and about 35 hooks to the sled and 150 hours of snow plowing at about 425 hp. Couldn't be happier:D

It is a nice feeling to add as much hp as you want and not have to worry about upgrading the clutch again. It is fine as a daily driver, I wish I had put this clutch in the first time.

I don't know much about mithell clutches, but i can tell you that my southbend duel disk is very streetable and i love it:D

I've heard talk before about having too aggressive of a clutch for the horsepower and my question is this, How is the Mitchell dual disk when you only have say 300-325 hp? Right now I only have a comp in my truck because I know I'll need to do a clutch before anything else. I do have to say though I think I got a pretty good factory clutch, hasn't slipped in 82,000 miles total and 40,000 miles of comp usage mostly on level 4 or 5. I even pulled with it once, but was only in 2nd low just because I figured 3rd low would probably roast it.

I have no problems driving around before I added more hp, before I was driving at 295 w/o the box on and now am maybe at 325 to 350 with injectors alone and it drives the same. After you replace a clutch weather it be a DD or single you will have to get used to it a little and then you will be fine. Some people drive manual transmissions different than others it may take a little learning to get it right.

Most of all my driving is in a small town with a lot of stop and go. I have had no problems at all, and I love this clutch. Its not jerky or too agressive. It does take a little more effort to push in, but you will get used it that in a couple days. My wife and her sister have no problem driving it. I would definetly go with a twin disc again.

Thanks guys! This is really what I wanted to hear:D I'm only running a Comp box right now but will soon be going to larger injectors and turbo. I've heard nothing but good things about Mitchell clutches so I'll probably go ahead and get it and then... ..... well you know;)
