have been getting a grinding sound on take off after being on highway for 5 or so miles. i just replaced driveshaft u-joints. could this be a rear end problem? axle problem? transmission? transfercase? like i said before, it seems to only do this after being on the highway for a period of time. it is a grinding, slight vibration. any thoughts would be helpfull. thanks again TDR'rs!

Yep. Add some liminted slip posi additive that these AAM axels are suppose to NOT need. Had same issue, chased u/joints and other items and then found old posts with same complaint. Stopped at ADVANCE auto parts, bought a $6 dollar bottle of the stuff, poured it in the rear diff. and bingo FIXED. Try it.
