does any one know when is DC going to begin replacing the cummins with the Mercedes Engine,i have heard that they will be doing this pretty soon?

I've heard that they are supposed to be offered as an option in 2004. Cummins supposedly has a contract with Chrysler to provide their engine until 2004. I haven't heard any rumors about 2005.

the mercedes engines are very strong trouble free motors. But I hope they never drop my beloved cummins.

The last time I heard was when the contract was up with cummins in 1999, a new contract was signed with a seven year time span. So it seems that the Cummins will be available through 2006.

i love the cummins too thats the only reason i bought the ram. #ad

maybe when the benz engine is available i will buy another ram.
