dakota mirrors?

a buddy of mine has an 02 dakota and has told me that his mirrors do not fold in. he would like to have the mirrors that fold in. would the mirrors off of asay 01 full size dodge pickup fit his dakota? or does dc make a fold in mirror for dakotas. dealership has told him they do not make them. has anybody heard of an aftermarket that looks like the oem. any help appreciated.

My wife has an 01 Dakota with factory mirrors that fold in or "break away". They fold forward and backwards. Also, the older Dakotas used the same mirrors as Rams that fold, I think. I know the older ones looked exactly the same as the ones on my Ram, I don't know about the mounting though. Your friend must have the smaller base mirrors I'm guessing. I'm pretty sure though that the dealer he talked to, had no clue.
