That's My Boy....

well i've been active air force for about six and a half years now and currently stationed at macdill afb. my younger brother decided to follow in my footsteps and joined the A. F. about 2 years ago. he is currently stationed at minot north dakota. he is doing a tour in iraq and is located at the famous Abu Grahib prison camp about 15 minutes outside baghdad. he arrived after all the prisoner abuse crap happened. so far he is doing well. he works in C. E. ( civil engineering) and is a plumber. he sent a few cool pics i thought i would share with everyone. i'm just praying that he will make it home safe and sound. i did talk him into possible buying a CTD though!!

the last pic is something i found and threw in there.

That's cool. Thanks to both of you for your service. I'll keep him in my prayers for a safe return. I have a high school friend that works at McDill right now. Civilian side, though. Supports you guys with training.

Just as you, we are all proud of your brother and any other man or woman who serves for this country. We pray for their safe return from the conflicts abroad. Last week my eldest son reported for duty at Minot, North Dakota he is in the missle program. Thanks to people like my son , you and your brother and all that have or are currently serving my youngest son should grow up in a better world.

Mkinner,

Just has 2 of your tankers up here in Fairbanks for Cope Thunder. They were here for about 3 weeks. Of course, the last week one of them was broken for an aft body fuel leak. It's in fuel cell right now. The other one left this morning. What's your AFSC?

my AFSC is 2T351, special purpose vehicle mechanic. actually i work on just about anything that rolls through the shop. we used to fix and rebuild things but now we are just parts exchangers.

MKinner,

As of Friday when I got off from work, your tanker was still in fuel cell. Thats ok tho, New Jersey had 3 tankers up here on wed and on thrusday night, one sprang 2 class A leaks on the mains in both wings. Always happens, TDY tankers always come up and either spring leaks in their tanks or have to have their landing gear resealed. One or the other.

Hope your brother comes home. Tell him Thanks from Me.
