Fuel pumps

Sounds if the lift pump is going going about to be gone. Get a new lift pump probably? Well yours has 95,000 miles on it before it gave you problems then mine did !

I had the same issue with a new pump one time, put it on and it only read 7 psi at idle and would pull down to 3 under load. put the old one back on and it read 13 psi at idle and would pull down to 9 under load. Called Cummins and they said I would have to purchase another pump, send the bad one in and wait for re-imbursement if they found it to be faulty. I said screw that and went to a Fass system, no more worries. I do still carry the old one as a back up, but only to limp home with. Good Luck.

Red Ram,

Take this in the correct light... I'm not ragging on you but,,,, your foundational equipment compliment is not where you need to be. Your signature shows all sorts of goodies and a 2k watt audio entertainment system and a Carter fuel pump that costs $35 to manufacture. You need an AirDog and while you're at it get the little Geno's mechanical Fuel-Pressure test gauge to verify what your electronic monitoring device is telling you.

Wazzz-up dude?

There are a number of good after market pumps to consider, the Air Dog being only one & an expensive one at that. The test gauge is a great place to start. Geno's is good so is Source automotive & Vulcan. All have similar gauges at simelar prices

I Have A Mechanical Fuel Pressure Test Gauge And Its Reading 6-9 Psi So Yea I Dont Have The Money For A Air Dog Or Fass System Right Now So Im Looking For Another Way Cheaper!

Could It Be Just A Bad Reading On My Edge Attitude? Any One Have Bad Readign With The Edge? I Only Run On The 1st Setting And Since I Noticed My Psi Runnis Low I Went Back Down To The Stock Setting>?????

The FASS HPFP (pump & fittings w/o filters) is a good alternative.

absolutely, I am using the fass 150 pump only with a pre-filter and the stock canister and fuel heat. pretty cheap insurance considering the alternative. I would eat Top Ramen for a month to get away from the stock style pump. Call Erik at Vulcan Performance 866-446-1043 or Rip at Source Automotive (866) 211-1533, both are great resources for Fass products from pumps only to full systems.
