One compressor system for Airlift and Ranchos

Is this a problem?

We are looking at a 1999 Damon Challenger 33MLB. It has 2 slides, fiberglass over aluminum, cold weax package, etc. It sits high enough that it will fit on our truck, and we can get it for less than blue book. The original owner put about 5k miles on it and it sat for two seasons at a park in Rehobeth Beach.

What do y'all think of these, good and bad? What problem areas should we check over carefully?

I value your opinion - we previously decided not to get a dutchmen 5er based largely on the responses here.

I have bought and sold several of the older Challenger models and have never had a single customer complaint. Current NADA book on the unit you are looking at is $19,910/$27,090. The last model listed in my book is 2000. Is this unit now an orphan? If so, that will hurt it in the market place. Good luck!

It's not an orphan now - we took the plunge and bought it.

Time will tell but I spent an hour today crawling over and under and testing every system I could, and could not find a single flaw. The furnace would not kick in, but the heat index was over 100 and the thermostat only went to 90.

Thanks for the info.

Cheers,

Drew
