DOES ANY BODY HAVE A SOURCE FOR DANA 60 AXLE SHAFTS BESIDES THE $420 COMPLETE AXLE FROM MOPAR ALL I NEED IS THE LEFT INNER SHAFT OFF THE U JOINT MINE HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS NEW OR REMAN MAKES NO DIFFERENCE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

Good question.

My axle shaft oil seal wore a groove into the shaft. New seal leaked. Went to the dealer and got the 3 piece (inner shaft, u-joint & outer shaft). That was all that was available.

td96ram, If the reason you need a new shaft is because its scored and a new oil seal won't work, try an auto machine shop to see if they can put a sleeve on it.

I needed an outer stub axle for my 80 crew cab's Dana 60 12 years ago. Dodge wanted 175 for it. 4 Wheel parts at 800-421-1050 sold it to me for $75. Hopefully they are still a Dana distributor.

4 whl parts is still a dana distributor and they beat all our other vendors "jobber pricing" to repair shops.

They may have to "special" order many things, but they usually arrive in 5-7 business days.

They also sent me a Perfect Circle catalog, which lists many of the ball joints, track bar, pitman arm, tie-rods, drag-link etc. , that are often "dealer only" at many parts houses.

Who wants the made in China stuff, when this is so reasonable! Unfortunately, I don't have a Dana catalog handy or I'd get you the part number.

Get the numbers of the axle housing cover before calling them though.

Any Napa should be able to help you with a "ready" sleeve, if the groove is your problem. Dana thru 4 whl Parts wholesalers should have a listing too.

His # is (916)6357602 & he ships UPS for the out of towners. He went all the way to a yard in Texas for the 60 he tracked down for my Cummins into Ramcharger conversion.
