Dana 70 Adjusting nut

Anybody that can tell me the size of the nut that holds the rear hub in place? - the large nut.

I dont know of the size but its the same as a lawn mower fly wheel tool

( socket ) Is what i use If you ever get to Clatskanie id show it to you

I just happen to have one in the truck! As soon as I get dressed and get outside, this AM, I will check the size. I believe you are talking about the axle nuts that secure the hub? GregH

2 9/16th is correct, just don't do what I did and grab one from a parts store, then realize 2 states away you bought an 8 sided socket, not a 6... ... ... Still wondering if I will find anything to use that one on... ...

I picked one up yesterday from NAPA. It's 6 "point" with rounded corners - one I've seen used before. Just never had a need until now. Thanks for the heads up. Wed is "git er done" day well at least get her apart - hopefully back together on Sat.
