Dana 70 axle swap

Has anyone swapped to an older dana 70? Specifically either a 1986 or 1977 model year dodge axle going into a 1992 D350 dually? The housing in the 1992 is shot. I have the older axles and they are known to be in good condition.

We put an early 80's Dana 70 in my buddies 93 W350, because of the bigger bearings. He still managed to blow it up :-laf It's got a 96 engine and is tweeked. Shadrach
