Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Dana 70 Gasket

I bought a DANA 70 gasket from NAPA today, but now I am reading that I should use a silicon sealant instead... . will I be ok to just use the gasket or should I take it back and get the silicon? I am doing this at a Hobby Shop (Military DIY Auto Shop) so I dont have time for something to dry over night. If I should take back the gasket, what kind of silicon whatever do I buy that cures ASAP?

Ultra black

Changed the fluid in mine yesterday. Used Permatex Ultra Black RTV silicone from NAPA. Its oil resistant. Works fine. Never had a problem.

I've used the blue with the same results and the gasket. Guess its like wearing suspenders and a belt ?
