Well I just installed my Dana 80 for the 70. I realise that the driveshaft needs to be shortened. The truck is a 98 guadcab short bed. I have heard it is like 3. 375". The dealer says the two driveshafts list as being 4" different.

Any Help. Thanks.

Thanks everyone,

After I shortened it at Custom Drivesshafts Mike balanced and said, "Hey did you know this thing was bent". Ahhhhh NO. So now I need to make another one. The stock is only . 093 wall tubing. I think I am going to . 134 wall. That should keep it from bending again. I guess one too many truck pulls.

Thanks again.

Hi,

I do have another question. As the suspension compresses on these trucks, does the axle to xfer case dimension get shorter or longer? I have heard both.

Thanks,
