I was reading on Dodgeram.org and it seems that they list 2 different fluid capacities for Dana 80 axles. .

Axles found on 2WD trucks have less fluid capacity. . Is this true, and if so, why would it make any difference?

Seems like more hassle, keeping track of 2WD & 4WD axles.

I bought a Dana 80 out of a 2WD truck. . Should I be worried about the decreased fluid capacity?

Here are the specs I found:

http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/specs/axle/286RBI_specs.html

Lube Capacity

4x2 6. 8 pints ( 3. 22 L ) 3. 4 Quarts

4x4 10. 1 pints ( 4. 79 L ) 5. 05 Quarts

Thanks in advance!
