2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dana 80 hybrid 3.55

I have a 99 3500 the vin# stats that my diff ratio stats that I have a dana 80 hybrid with 3. 55 ratio is this only for my front dana 60 all I can find for my dana 80 is a 3. 54 please help

I guess what I am asking is there a differance between the 3. 55 and the 3. 54 in dana 80

Just because the build sheet says 3. 55:1 doesn't mean it's actually 3. 55:1. It could be 3. 54:1. The front and rear diffs can be slightly different too. Checking Randy's R&P the D60 and D80 are both only available with 3. 54:1 gears. On my 1/2T the (front) D44 was 3. 54:1 and the (rear) Chrysler 9. 25 was 3. 55:1. The ratio is determined by counting the ring teeth and pinion teeth and there's only so many combinations available for a given ring size.

Thanks Road Dog I talked with Randy's ring they said the 3. 54 and the 3. 55 are the same thing. The only thing Strange is I thought the Dana 80 hybrid was only on the 2500s
