Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Dana 80 question...

What does a complete dana 80 weight, drum to drum???



Because I can barely move the darn thing by myself on a two wheel dolly...

I don't know about one complete, but I did weigh a carrier, ring and pinnion, 93 pounds. my complete Dana 35 I took off my Cherokee was only 143 pounds. My guess on the complete Dana 80 would be about 600 pounds, but that is just a guess.

I just took out the D-80 in my truck, and installed a 14 bolt. It's all i can do to lift one side off the ground. I would also guess 500+ pounds. I weighed the drums, and the 14 bolt drums where 20 pounds lighter each. I hope to have saved 200 pounds total... .
