Has anybody out there upgraded their Dana 80 rear axles from the stock 35 to a 37 spline axle? I found these axles on Yukon's website but can't get a definitive answer from anyone. I've heard our axle tubes might be too small and won't allow proper oiling of the outer bearings? I'm installing an ARB rear locker and would like to upgrade my axles at the same time. Thanks for the help. http://www.yukongear.com/PartsList....ine&CatID=20&CatName=Axle+-+Rear+(Both+Sides) http://store.arbusa.com/ARB-Air-Locker-Dana-80-37-Spline-Ratios-Vary-RD91-P3564.aspx

I've not done that particular upgrade. What is the difference in shaft diameter? Most of the dana axles suffer from soft axle shaft more so than low spline count... Very early units being the exception.

Well after talking to ARB, Yukon, EMS gear and axle and even Dana Spicer I couldn't find anyone who had done it. EMS was worried about the rear bearings not getting any oil and Yukon said I might have to open up my axle tubes more? I don't have the time or expertise so I gave up and ordered the ARB with the 35 spline.
