I can turn the drive line on my truck almost 1/8 of a turn when the wheels are on the ground. So I changed oil had the rear diff cover off and had my help mate crawl under and turn the drive line back and forth. The pinion backlash is minimal (Good) when I put a screwdriver against the spider gears. When I let the spider gears loose the driveline again rocks an 1/8 of a turn and I can see the spider gear washers rocking back and forth. All the gears look good I can still see the machining marks. So is that normal slop in those gears?
