2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Darin's Steering Stablizer will it work with Western mvp plow

Need some help. Does anybody know if a Western MVP UltraMount plow will fit, if Darin's Steering Stabilizer is installed on my Dodge 2500 cummins. thanks, mark

I just put on a new Western Ultra mount plow, and I was looking at the pictures of the DSS, and I was wondering the same thing. After installing the plow mount, I am not sure it would work, unless you mount the DSS over the plow mount brackets. I was not to overly impressed with the fit of the plow mount, I had to enlarge 2 holes on the mount, and until you tighten it down, it does not fit to well. Like the instructions said, Do not tighten any fasteners until told to do so.

I have an older Western Pro Plow and was told there was no problem. The DSS is in the way of where the thrust frame should be. I had to mount it lower on the plow mount. I'm not sure what the MVP mount looks like, or how similar it is, but I will take some pictures of mine if you think it might help. Let me know.



The ironic part of of my plow mount is that the DSS was supposed to be fine with it, (in the way) and the Ranch Hand people said their front replacement bumper and plow mount woukdn't fit together. (Close, but no problem )

It is a western ultramount, that will be installed on the 2500. newer mounting system from the unimount. thanks, mark
