Dark garnet

You guys that are driving dark garnet truck. How is the paint holding up? Does it scratch or chip easy? How do you like it overall?

Pleased. Chips/scratches not a problem so far, seems to be a bit thicker coat than some of the other colors.



Dark gray would have been my first choice (over silver) but you can't get it in a DRW .



Truck was built in Mexico. No paint flaws that I can find, and I have looked after seeing some of the other paint posts.



It is of course a pain in the A*** to keep clean, but my wife likes it alot better than white, silver or gray, so who am I to argue?

I like my white truck OK - and the rest of the options are EXACTLY what I would have ordered - but if I had a choice of colors, I think the dark Garnet would be #1!



The maroon DC has had since the beginning of the 2nd generation trucks would be next - after that... .

I'm having a heck of a time keeping it clean, but no trouble at all with the paint. Dark Garnet seems to be a very popular color.

I really like the Garnet. I was pretty undecided when I ordered it but it really looks good. Really turns a lot of heads.

I think it came out on the 2000 model. 1999 and '98 the Amethyst was a real nice color, too bad it's not available.

garnet paint

pstillo,garnet paint held up very well,but than I waxed my truck every other month checking for bird droppings,road tar etc.
