Kink of the hill?????

Im reading through the november issue of petersens 4 wheel and offroad. They have an article called hot rod diesels unleashed. It was pretty darn accurate all the way through. I was suprised to see that they did their homework. Now heres my problem. They picked Psychostroker to represent the ford camp. 13. 86 quarter mi. Not bad. Now for the cummins camp they have a gentleman Im sure Ive heard of before named scott vorhees. If I remember right scotts got a mean truck. Well in the article he has 350 hp and 790 lb ft at the wheels. The cummins had a 215 P pump and a #10 plate and that was about all. And the psychostroker has 512 hp and 1171 lb ft. They go on to also say that with some minor tweaking the duramax will make over 400 hp. They never said anything about 11 second cummins. Or cummins making 800 hp. Or at least they couldve mentioned the banks fastest truck. Somin to stroke my ego.

They did mention the 6 is better for stacking turbos. and they had a nice picture of a banks modified cummins.

unbiased reporting?

I wouldn't doubt that if you thumb though the magazine that there is a direct correlation between the number/size of ads for each manufacturer and their truck's rating.

Concerning the Banks truck. Because of the lead time on the magazines articles the Banks truck hadn't proved itself yet.

Interesting that the HP shown is in direct proportion to the truck sales volume by manufacture??? So if there are more Ford diesel truck owners and I spot light the Ford PSD as the most powerful I am appealing to a larger audience and will sell more Magazines. Like they say show me the $$$. Thats why I don't buy the "Magazines" anymore they are big advertisements for the manufactures :(

The January issue of Trailer Life had a decent article on the new star in the big 3 diesel wars, Dodge. Not a bad write-up.

Thats why these editors or writers avoid schied or thunder in muncie. Would it have anything to do with wich truck wins the sled pulling contests? Hmmmm.
