2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission darn

i have a 2002 and how do you take out lighter from the dash i have tried and i cant get it can someone help

it seems like it just snaps in, there is the plastic ring around it that is seperate, the plastic ring snaps into the dash and the lighter plug snaps into the glow ring... I dont really know how to get it out, might have to get behind it and compress the little flanges that hold it in.

If it is anything like the 2nd gens, you need to use an inside snap-ring plier. All you do is press the 2 small plastic squares on the inside of the socket with the pliers. At the same time, pull the socket straight out.
