For a while now my ABS and Park Brake dash warning lights have been on. Yesterday I finally took it to the dealer and they hooked up their scan tool and cleared some codes that I couldn't and also discovered that the ABS Pump fuse, a square 40 amp one in the under hood fuse box, had blown. After a replacement fuse, I was good to go, or so I thought, until this afternoon. BTW The dealer didn't charge me anything and the fuse came from the techs tools box. I will be sending him a Cummins gift next week.

Today as I was driving down the freeway heading out to my buddy's acreage I had the radio going and all of a sudden it started to make noises like it does after you have had the batteries unhooked. The 6 pak CD changer started "searching" for a disc kind of noise. I turned the radio off as well as the A/C and fan. Then the dash warning lights started flashing, ALL of them, yellow, green, red and blue. It was like the lights on a new cop car, blinking left and right and all over. It sure got my attention. I shut the radio off and prepared to get out of traffic and stop if necessary. No smells, no smoke, no other noises just blinkn lights. The speedo remained normal but the tach flickered a couple of times. After a minute it stopped and everything was back to normal. The engine still ran smooth throughout all this, so no problems there. After about 10 minutes of normality I turned the radio back on and sure enough in a few minutes it all happened again. I again turned the radio off and figured I won't use it the rest of the trip. After a bit of flashing the lights stopped and everything was OK for the rest of the trip.

About 8 hours later as I was coming home I heard a "bing" and the ABS and Parking Brake lights came back on, but no other problems... so far. I haven't replace the fuse yet.

Has anyone every experienced anything like this? David

So nobody had any ideas? I have been busy and since I don't drive the truck daily it had to wait to get fixed. Here's what I found. My thoughts were that it had to be a loose wire, possibly a ground. Since the lights were "flashing" it should be easy to spot, maybe. I opened the hood to check the fuse box and the first thing I saw when looking around was my positive battery cable on the passenger side was just sitting there on top of the post. The last time I took it off to clean things I used a terminal spreader. It puts "teeth" marks in the inside of the terminal which wore down and caused the terminal to become loose. I reamed it out and filled some off the "ends" to make it fit tighter. To be safe I did both sides. Problem fixed. The ABS lights comes and goes but I think it is the RH sensor. I still have to check it out. David

It is the body module computer dooby-dobber. Mine did the same thing 3 yrs ago. Dealer replaced the body module and it has been fine ever since. All of the cab lights and tach etc. went nuts but the truck ran fine.
