Dash Cam

Just bought a Blackvue for the truck. Anyone else have a dashcam mounted? Any interference issues? The phone app looks a bit daunting, Why in the world does ithe camera need to make phone calls?!
I plan to install it this week end.

What type is yours? My brother in law as an Abeo dash cam that replaces the rear view mirror. Never had an issue and I like the look of it instead of having a whole other unit somewhere.

No kidding there!!! Considering the amount of stupidty behind the steering wheel of vehicles, its self protection as much as anything.

It is hard to argue tailgating as the cause when video shows the car cutting across 3 lanes of traffic into your lane 6 inches in front of the truck then drilling the brakes.

That's mainly what it's for, here in L.A. I get a lot of that. I am still of the opinion that a passing grade in basic physics should be a requirement for getting an operators license. With the rear view camera I can document the one's that try and pass me underneath. Not to mention eyeballing my bed while I'm away from the truck.

Good luck with that. The HS graduation rate for the country is only 80%, and many people can't do simple math, either in their head or on paper.

Sadly that's quite true. But you can gain some harmless amusement from the phenomenon. Just go to a fast food place and pay with cash, adding an extra fourteen cents in change when you pay. Then just stand back and watch the fun. You may want to wear plastic in the event their head explodes, much as you would at a Gallagher show.
