2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dash covers...Who makes a good one?

I've seen dash covers advertised in JC Whitney catalog. Has anybody tried these?Good ,bad,junk?Let me know. My 95 shows a few hairline cracks that I'd like to keep under control/out of site. Any negatives to keeping the dash covered?Seems like it would help with the morning glare. Any other sources for a quality dash cover? Let me know.

pumper, i have a nice one on mine. it was there when i bought the truck. it justs sits there, not attached. fits like a glove. very nice. i have never taken it off. very nice in florida. i will check to see if i can find a mfg tomorrow. scott.

I've had good results with MOST JC Whitney stuff - but some of their cosmetic stuff, like seat covers and carpets can be a REAL headache - as is the hoops ya gotta go thru to return bad stuff and get credited for the return... Yer better of to go to the local Kragen or Grand Auto, see if what they have looks good to you, and if yer NOT satisfied, the return is FAR easier than a distant mail order house...

this is mine from Dashtoppers

has a separate pice you see righ in front of the airbag so that is can flip up if the bag gets deployed. Sits righ on top without attaching it to dash. fits very well and the hole cutouts are right on. Was somewhere around $50 or so

HMMmmm - just got back from Kragen Auto Supply - bought (ordered) a Dashmat for my truck for $24 plus tax - no emblems, no embroidery... I won't lecture on the value of shopping locally - at least not until it arrives and I see how it looks...

Bottom line though I love it and fits nice just like you expect it to. Oo. I went to them for free install an advantage when they are a couple of miles away!!! They did use some velcro though but I don't mind that at all.
