Hi and welcome to the DCDCD (dodge cummins diesel cracked dashboard)

Very very common problem with our vehicles. I believe it is poor design. You have several opitions now.

1. Live with it

2. Replace dashboard- under warranty

- you pay

3. Very costly , all day job to pull dash

4. Cover with dash mat. Available several places. Try Geno's Garage

Good luck

LOL!!! :-laf

Are you refering to the dash itself or the bezel around the gauges?

Depending on how bad it is..... The dash can wind up in your lap one day with out notice (I've seen it).

Replacing the gauge bezel is easy enough. Replacing the dash is a major PITA.

No It's The Plastic Around The Guage Not The Actual Dash. Sorry New To Tdr Don't Know All My Truck Talk Yet Lol. I'll Learn Also Any Points On How To Post The Picture Of Your Truck On Here?

SMacLeod if it's the black trim bezel around the gauges, dash vents & etc. then you're in luck. That easily snaps off so it can be replaced.

No problem..... Welcome to TDR!

Hit a couple local salvage yards and see if you can pick up that bezel cheap. I think from 1998 to 2002 they are all the same. 1997 down and 2003 up are different.

The bezel just snaps in place. Be careful that you apply light pressure while prying it off and "pry as you go". Dont get one corner off and expect to pull the whole thing off at once or you will break it into about 10 pieces.

There is a thread about posting pictures in there somewhere. You can do a search too and read more about it. There have been several questions about posting pictures lately.
