I was just told there is a company still making the first gen dash pods. They are supposed to have 1, 2, or 3 gauge units. Name of the company is Delco Diesel. They have a web site but I couldn't get to the pricing or availability. Web site is delcodiesel.com, you might try them if in need of a pod and see what they have.

I don't need one right now but wanted to pass this on to you guys.

Is US Gear not making them anymore? I bought my US Gear three-gauge pod from Diesel Injection Service not even a year ago.

I got my 2 gauge and 3 gauge pod at BD Fuel.

I'm pretty sure Piers still has one or two in his shop as well. (for the 1st Gens)

Just an FYI.

Dash pod's are one thing. I'm kind of an A pillar kind of guy. I have a 2 gauge pillar mount, has anyone seen a 3 guage mount for the pillar?

ready to buy gauges and pod

Hoss,

They are mounted on the round part of the column between the dash and the boxy area where the hazzard swich and ignition are. They are secured by a single strip of 3/4" velcro strap w/ rubber sheeting underneath to prevent slippage on the column. The strap runs through the horizontal slots in the base of the Autometer cups and over the top of the foot of the Isspro cup in the center. A little tricky to get positioned but once the velcro is tight they won't go anywhere. Really easy to remove if you have to also. The wiring is well hidden as well since it runs out of the back of the gauges and right down the collumn under the dash. The only downside is that the trip meter is partially blocked. You can still read it but it has to be from the side.

I made my own out of a single and a double. Had to die-grind the single slightly but the 3 gauge set-up looks pretty good. :)

Happy trails.

kmc thanks for the reply sounds like not to bad to install.

been looking for other ideas. the hiding the wires down the colum sounds the best so far since i dont like pillar pods

thanks again
