I'm looking for the dash light(s) wire under the dash and there isn't anyting that is obviously the wire I'm looking for.
Anyone know where I can tap (harness and color) into for my air bag gauge light?
Rig is a 2012 3500. I suspect they are the same for the last 3 years.

Thanks,
Greg

I would not tap into anything, too many problems with these new rigs. I mounted my gauges in the console with out lights. I just turn on one of the overhead lights. See my pics in the RV and towing forum under do I need air bags. If you really want light run a seperate line with a fuse from the battery. JMHO

After I posted this I got to thinking the same thing. I can tap a hot that only comes on when the air compressor is on. I think I'll try that. The gauge is at the bottom of the dash so it shouldn't be too obnoxious at night. If it is I can alway turn off the compressor. There is plenty of air in the tank to make adjustments for a while.

Thanks,
Greg

Look for the instrument lamp fuse and tap in there. However, if the instrument lamps are LEDs and the gauge lamps are incandescent you may very well have an issue with electrical loads and lamp dimming.
