So I got the bright Idea that I wanted to change out my dash lighting. MY stereo and my gauges are both blue and I figured that I would change out the ugly green for blue.

But after ruining one of my old blubs and one of my new leds and slicing my finger open(i'm incredibly talented I know) and excersizing my generous vocabulary I decided to leave well enough alone and seek guidance. How do you remove the old bulb and install the new ones without destroying everything? The new bulbs are 194 base 5-led bulbs. I'm hung up on the stupid little metal strips and the little wires. Any tips from anyone who has done this?

Also I took the pointers off the board(don't ask me why I have no clue either. ) IS there any good way to reset these in the right position? Or is it just a by guess and by golly?

if i rember right they are soldered in and you have to do some surgery to change them out. just did them on my wifes 94 and i think the 2. 5 gens are the same.

also i would take the gauges out to do the work on a table. also note the placement of your needles so your gas gage and oil is in the right place when you turn on the key.

just my thought on it. HOT01

fill up your tank with fuel and guess at the oil the volt do you rember what the voltge was set it back with the key on and it running also water temp same way get it good and warm cuz you will have to get it close to op temp or at to set it also not realy the right way but its as good as you will get it with out making a diagram of gauge setings prior to pulling them HOT01
